The KNUST has plaid host to a team of Participants and Facilitators from the Consultancy Services Unit of the Bayero University, Kano-Nigeria, who offered programmes on public speaking, speech writing and report writing after which they visited KNUST.
Mr. Lomotey, the Deputy Registrar in charge of student’s affairs, who received the delegation, briefed the team about the University and the various Colleges, as well as Programmes offered, among others. He then invited Provosts, Deans and Heads of Department present to elaborate further on the activities in the various Colleges, Faculties and Departments at KNUST.
Prof. Kabiru Isa Dandago, the leader of the team, was very grateful for the reception received and was impressed with the information received. He also expressed how beneficial this trip would be to the Kano University and the members of the educational team in improving on their services to students and their colleagues as well. He expressed overwhelmed fascination at the structure and the peaceful environment that the KNUST is endowed with, on behalf of the team.
After the interaction, they toured the various sites on campus and took shots at the various interesting locations. The team was made up of Professors, Politicians, Businessmen, Ministers, Directors, Lecturers, Deputy Registrars and Parliamentarians, all from the Consultancy Services Unit of the Bayero University, Kano- Nigeria.
The team asked questions about how the URO disseminates information to staff and students, the percentage of foreign students at KNUST, the sources of income and many other related issues.
